Last week on Facebook Live we interviewed Thomas, our Online Courses Manager!
Thomas holds an MA in Education, an Advanced Diploma in Applied Linguistics, and a Trinity Diploma for teaching English as a Second Language as well as a TEFL certificate. He has been teaching English for 26 years mainly in Europe - in particular, Spain - and teacher training for 15 years.
We asked him some questions about his career and what advice he has for first-time EFL teachers. Check out some clips from the interview below!
Thomas explains the three qualities that make a good EFL teacher!
"I was really nervous the night before" - Thomas describes the experience of being in the classroom for the first time.
"The classroom TEFL courses bring the online course to life" - Thomas explains how the online and classroom courses complement each other and what you can expect from one of our classroom courses.
We're often asked the question, 'Am I too old for TEFL?'
You can check out the full interview here and post any questions - we'll answer them as quickly as we can!
And make sure you check out our last interview with EFL teacher, Megan!
