Iranian TEFL teacher, Sara Alami, tells us about learning English by transcribing Hollywood blockbusters and maligned UK number 1s.
How determined does a person have to be to achieve their goals? How highly must the odds be stacked against you for you to give up?
Sara Alami, an English teacher from Iran, couldn’t have had a more difficult road to where she is now. She’s the co-founder of an Iranian English language school, teaches online to students around the world and has a massive social media following. But nothing about her background, and how she learned English, would make you think any of what she’s achieved should be possible.
Sara Alami, a TEFL teacher of real repute both online and in Iran, may have started out transcribing “Lady in Red” by Chris de Burgh and Hollywood blockbusters, but it was all entirely worth it.
Now the proud owner and co-founder of the Adib Language School, Sara has amassed a considerable following online as well as running a team of teachers in Iran. With a range of qualifications and considerable experience as a teacher, Sara is at the forefront of TEFL in Iran.
