From busy Hallowe’ens to teaching Teens: Sophie Oliver’s TEFL journey
Sophie’s story begins with feeling aimless before optimism and adventure took over. From working as a Hallowe’en “scarer” in Cornwall, Sophie Oliver used the momentum from a trip to Barcelona to motivate her to finish a TEFL course. Her journey since has been inspiring.
About Sophie Oliver
The West Country’s very own, Sophie Oliver, has had quite a unique career. After graduating from the University of Plymouth with a degree in animation, Sophie worked in some unusual roles, including as a “Scare Actor” at a theme park, before TEFL truly took over.
Since early 2022, Sophie has been teaching in Thailand and Vietnam, sharing her stories with us. We’re excited to see what the future holds!
