Show us what your life is like teaching English abroad or online and win up to £250/$300!

We want to see where TEFL has taken you. Whether you’re working in a bustling city like Tokyo or Barcelona, the rolling countryside of Vietnam or Italy, or maybe even closer to home from your own laptop.

However you’re TEFLing, we want to hear from you!

Submit a video about your TEFL experience to be in with the chance to win £250/$300!

We encourage you to get creative, but here are some topic ideas to get you started:

  • A day in your life as a TEFL teacher
  • A guide to the country/city you're teaching in
  • What TEFL means to you
  • Advice you would give an aspiring TEFL teacher

Guidelines

Submissions can be in landscape or portrait format and should be between 1 and 10 minutes long.

Please do not add music or captions to your video.

We want to see you! You don’t need to be on camera every second of the video, but we’d like to see you in the frame as much as possible in different situations and locations.

The deadline for submissions is March 14th 2025. Winners will be notified the following week.

Most importantly, the star of the video is you. That means we want to see and hear from you, so channel your inner YouTuber and get vlogging!

Our favourite entry, judged by a panel here at The TEFL Org, will win £250/$300 and two runners up will win £50/$60. All entrants are in with a chance of being featured on our site and/or social channels.

And here are some ideas for what else to include:

  • Introduce yourself: tell us who you are, where in the world you’re teaching, and what you love about TEFL
  • Show us your morning routine and commute to work
  • What does your place of work look like? Tell us about your job and who you teach
  • Footage of you in action, teaching and/or interacting with your students
  • The location you’re working in - show us the sights!
  • Your social life after work - do you have a favourite spot for dinner or meeting up with friends? Do you have an interesting hobby?
